ONE®ID: one point-of-entry for your electronic health record solutions

What is ONE ID?

ONE ID is eHealth Ontario’s digital identity and authentication system which allows health care professionals to securely access provincial digital health assets with a single user name and password

ONE ID credentials is part of the provincial plan to access digital health assets. They can be used immediately for services such as ONE Mail and OTNHub, and will enable access to even more applications in the future

As patients’ personal health information becomes more widely available, we’re committed to ensuring their authorized health care providers have safe and secure electronic access via digital health solutions. Physicians who currently have access to the connecting South West Ontario (cSWO) Regional Clinical Viewer, ClinicalConnect™, can now gain access to additional patient data that is contained within provincial repositories such as the Digital Health Drug Repository (DHDR) by replacing their ClinicalConnect credentials with ONE ID credentials.*

What is the DHDR?

The DHDR is a recent enhancement to ClinicalConnect that currently includes dispensed drug data covered under the Ontario Drug Benefit (ODB) program, as well as monitored drugs (narcotics) and pharmacy services. This new provincial drug data adds to the pharmacy data already contributed directly by hospitals and available for viewing by authorized clinicians via ClinicalConnect.

Sounds great! How do I get access to ONE ID?

We are working with your organization's ONE ID Local Registration Authority (LRA), who will be in contact with end users to guide users through account set-up and answer any questions.

At any point, please do not hesitate to contact us directly using the information to your left.

*Note that if you’re a physician who provides health care to patients who are not registered to a hospital or other ClinicalConnect Participant Organization and you haven’t already been approved as a Sole Practitioner Health Information Custodian (HIC) Participant in ClinicalConnect, you will need to submit a Participation Agreement and Sole Practitioner Attestation.
