It’s been another busy and productive year here at the eHealth Centre of Excellence (eCE), as we continue to support primary care and other health service providers with the adoption of digital health tools.
A few highlights from our organization as a whole:
In January, we moved to a new, larger office to accommodate our quickly growing team – and we launched our shiny new website as well!
We also put on our own event in May: Partnerships in eHealth 2017. This year’s theme focused on Transformational Change, and featured engaging keynotes from Deputy Minister of Health and Long-Term Care Dr. Bob Bell, CEO of Dot Health Huda Idrees, and Police Chief Bryan Larkin of Waterloo Regional Police Service. SAVE THE DATE: our next event will take place on May 9, 2018!
As a participating organization in Digital Health Week back in November, we posted a series of blog posts from ehealth experts discussing why digital health is important to them. Check out our Digital Health Week round up here.
To show our commitment to creating positive change in the healthcare system, our team made a number of pledges for Change Day Ontario.
The Benefits Realization (BR) team has been hard at work, with a number of new case studies that explore how digital health tools can enhance clinical workflows. An updated list of BR case studies is available here.

A Message from eHealth Centre of Excellence Director Dr. Mohamed Alarakhia
As you can see, it’s been a year full of exciting milestones – that said, we recognize that we can’t do the work we do without the continued support from stakeholders and healthcare providers in our region. On behalf of everyone here at the eHealth Centre of Excellence I’d like to offer my thanks, as well as my warmest wishes for a safe and happy holiday season. We’ll see you in 2018!
