The eHealth Centre of Excellence celebrates its first anniversary this month! We were established on April 2nd, 2015 as a program of the Centre for Family Medicine FHT.
In that time we’ve completed two projects on primary care data quality: Project ALIVE (Advancing and Leveraging the Investment Value of EMRs), funded by eHealth Ontario, and the QBIC (Quality Based Improvements in Care) Project funded by the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network. We also continue to act as the connecting South West Ontario (cSWO) Program Change Management and Adoption Delivery Partner here in the Waterloo Wellington LHIN.
The work of the eHealth Centre of Excellence was recognized for the 2015 National LEADing Practice Award from Canada Health Infoway and Accreditation Canada, and we’ve also had the opportunity to present our work at a number of ehealth and medical conferences over the last year.
The eHealth Centre of Excellence was founded on a vision of creating a collaborative space to share knowledge and develop best practices and to enable technology to support improved clinical care. Over this year we’ve been fortunate to collaborate with many organizations and individuals. We couldn’t have been so successful this year without these contributions and we’re very thankful for your support and participation.
