• Supported by the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network (WWLHIN), we continued to work with system partners to build decision-support tools for primary care electronic medical records (EMRs), such as the Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) template, Chronic Non-Cancer Pain tool, and the Depression and Anxiety Encounter Assistant (EA) point-and-click template.
• Our first eConsult spotlight was posted to the eCE blog back in May – you can find a round-up of all of the eConsult spotlights here (and stay tuned for a new spotlight on eConsult for psychiatry coming in early 2018).
• In partnership with the Canadian Mental Health Association Waterloo Wellington (CMHA WW), we supported primary care providers in the screening and management of mental health concerns through the use of interactive tablets.
• In November, we made news when funding was announced for an EMR tool to be developed by our team that will support primary care providers to make well-informed decisions about opioid prescriptions.
• We made headlines again with the announcement that virtual visits will soon be going live in Waterloo Wellington!
